Project Goal
Duke University’s MBA Energy Club set out to refresh its website ahead of recruitment for the incoming 2025 class. The goal was to create a more compelling, easy-to-manage digital presence that clearly communicated the club’s value to prospective members.
Before:
Disorganized navigation bar
Outdated content around the club's programming
Static pages that were difficult to transfer to new leadership each year
No lead forms to capture interest from prospective members
After:
Streamlined site structure for a more intuitive user experience
Clear messaging that highlights the club's activites, career impact, and community
Implementation of Elemenor as the editor to enable easy updates by team leaders
Integrated newsletter signup and contact form
Results
The refreshed site delivers a significantly improved user experience, guiding prospective students, current members, and industry partners to the information they need quickly and intuitively. Clearer navigation and stronger messaging now articulate why joining the MBA Energy Club is valuable, from career tracks and speaker events to networking opportunities and alumni connections.
Beyond aesthetics and usability, the new site was built with continuity in mind. Each year’s incoming leadership can easily update content, events, and messaging without technical expertise, ensuring the website stays current and relevant. With built-in newsletter and contact functionality, the club can now actively grow its audience and maintain engagement with prospective members before they even arrive on campus.
